Tumi McConnell Carry on $249

leave a comment »

Yugster has an offer for this carry on Tumi suitcase for $249. Its dimensions are 22 x 14 x 8.5. Add coupon code YUGSAVE5/25 to reduce it to $244.97. If you get an error viewing the page in Explorer, then open it up in Firefox, Opera, or Chrome. Here is the page:

Alternatively, you can go to a Nordstrom’s store or call their online store and request that they match this price. If going to the store, bring a print out of the Yugster web page showing the price.  Here is the item information:

I consider this to be a great deal if you like Tumi luggage. I recommend going to Nordstrom’s or a baggage store and viewing the luggage in person to determine whether you wish to purchase it. On a personal note, I like Tumi messenger bags, garment bags, and some of their luggage, but I will only purchase it when it is on sale, as their retail prices make it too expensive.

Update: This offer is no longer available.

Hilton Discover America Offer Points Posted

leave a comment »

I recently checked my HHonors account online, and I was happy to find that the two packages of  Hilton  HHonors points I bought from the Discover America offer posted on May 9 & May 10. The points posted under the category DISCOVER AMERICA, and they were simply added to the sum of my HHonor’s account. This Discover America offer is great, as there was sufficient inventory and time to purchase the offer. They had 150-200 of each points package available, and I hope they offer it again next year. Now I have to think of where to use the points for a Hilton multi night VIP award stay. Conrad Hong Kong or Conrad Koh Samui are a couple of quick thoughts. The best part is that reward stays and nights count towards HHonor’s elite qualification status.

Hilton Discover America Offer

leave a comment »

Ric Garrido’s Loyalty Traveler blog describes this offer where you can buy up one set each of 100,000, 150,000, and 250,00 Hilton Honors points for about 5 cents per point. If you pay with an AMEX card, then you save an additional 10 percent making the points cost 4.95 cents per point. Then redeem these points at Category 7 hotels with expensive costs. AFAIK, you can even redeem for VIP multi night discount saver awards. A 6 night category 7 hotel award costs 225,000 or 37,500 points per night, but you must be an elite to redeem this type of award. And don’t forget, free nights still count towards hotel nights and stays completeted for earning elite status. No other major hotel program does this(except for Choice hotels).

Ric covers the promo here:

Ric’s analysis shows why the Hilton HHonors program is actually one of the best for elite members as the VIP multi night stay discounts are great:
